J & J's Vacation
We had a great time visiting the Dominican Republic! The resort was beautiful, the food was great, and the company was even better :-) It had the biggest pool I've seen, probably about 200 yards long!

Our room is on the second floor just above my left shoulder. The first two shots up above were taken from our balcony.

Jen saw this Gulfstream on the runway and we needed to take a picture. No, we were not riding on it...

J & J's New Ride
My Honda has 320,000 miles on it (no, I'm not kidding) so we decided we would like to have another car that was a bit newer, more reliable, and more fun :-)
I found this 2003 Honda s2000 with just under 37,000 miles on it and got a great deal. The s2000 has great reliability and gets pretty good gas mileage, too. I'll do some local autocrosses in it and Jen and I are planning to share it to go back and forth to work.

Big Weekend!
Several exciting things happened over the weekend. First, Luke has been asking for an elephant costume. We've been letting him earn quarters by being a good boy at school and we told him that when he got 20 quarters he could buy the costume. Friday was his big day and he got his costume!
Second, we told Luke he could go camping. Unfortunately, it was raining so Luke and Daddy camped on the screened in porch. We roasted marshmallows with a propane burner and put our sleeping bags out to sleep. It worked out very well and he thought this was big fun!
Finally, on our way home yesterday afternoon we found a turtle! The kids played with it for a while and then we let it be a wild turtle again :-)
