Studio Pictures

OK. So I'm usually not a big fan of "studio" pictures, but Jen talked me in to taking the kids in to have pictures done. They gave us the disk so we have electronic copies of all the pictures, and these are the best ones...

Everyone knows how much Luke loves elephants. He's got a new favorite shirt!

Kendall opening presents

She was too tired to open presents on Saturday night so we opened them on Sunday morning. Again, her favorite part was the paper:

Gary came down and we did cupcake's for Kendall's first birthday. First, Luke helped us make the cupcakes:

Kendall (and Luke) open some presents

We're saving Kendall's party for this weekend, but we decided to go ahead and open the presents that Barbara, David, and Barbara had sent.

As usual, the favorite of the one year old was, you guessed it, the paper!

Kendall also enjoyed opening her presents:

And Luke got in on the action too. He got exactly what he needed, another elephant! We had a whole heard of "Teddy Elephants" (that's what he's calling them now) when I took him to bed. I think we had 6-7 of them!

Kendall is One!

Gary is coming down to help us celebrate Kendall's birthday this weekend, but these are the first pictures of Kendall as a one-year-old!

Luke the Climber

Luke has just learned how to scale the wall in his room without any help at all! Of course, I'm there as a spotter because he has no fear...



And Kendall sits in Luke's chair and watches the show. It must be that Jen fed her because she still has food on her face :-)

Daddy's Project

Luke and Kendall's playset was starting to show some serious wear. It took me three days, but I disassembled it, stripped all the old stain off of it, repainted it with heavy duty (and hopefully long lasting!) paint, and reassembled it.

Playing in the Sprinkler

One of Luke's favorite things to do is get naked and play in the hose. At least Kendall has the sense to keep her diaper on!
